We were commissioned to define a new skincare brand, who’s products use only natural ingredients from ethical and sustainable sources. Kyūshi comes from the Japanese translation meaning to pause. Its deeper meaning is influenced by the practice of focusing on one action at a time and giving it your absolute full attention. Designed to be a daily ritual, the application of Kyūshi’s products is as important as the content itself.
For use across the brand’s website and printed collateral, we produced a still-life photographic series channeling the company’s ethos of simplicity and transparency. The images depict a simple arrangement of key ingredients used in each the four Kyūshi products. The colour palette is defined according to the natural components contained within, and matched to the packaging for easy identification.
